Welcome to the Blog

Hey there!

I’m so glad you’re here. I want to start off by telling you a bit more about me.
As you know, I come from a long line of entrepreneurs. I chose this path for myself at the age of 24, when I went to work for myself as a hairstylist. It is my passion to share my journey, hear about yours, and help as many people as I possibly can create a life beyond their wildest imagination.

For 16 years, I have been married to a man that keeps me on my toes. He shares the same love for entrepreneurship as I do. Between the two of us, we are always creating something new and pursuing our next venture. Some of our businesses we have built together, and some we have created separately. I will not lie and tell you our life is easy. We are always on the go. Our days are full and loud. We work hard, play hard, and love hard – that’s our family motto.

Lively. That perfectly describes my two children. I want to use adjectives like amazing and beautiful when I describe my children, because they are, yet it feels like that’s what everyone would say. So I want to give you a true description. They are mini versions of my husband and me. They. Are. On. Fire. They don’t miss one single beat. As soon as I put them in check, they put me in check. There are days I want to wrap them in hugs and kisses and there are days when I think I need to wrap myself in a straight jacket. Honestly though, having children has made me a better person. I find that I am constantly challenging myself and growing because of them. They bring light to my world that I never knew existed.

For 20 years, I was a hairstylist. This is where I learned about everything in life. Okay, that might be a little dramatic, but man, it was good. Not only was this my first real job, it was my first taste of entrepreneurship. When I say I learned about everything in life, I mean I learned about business; customer service; accounting; taxes; ebbs and flows; marriage; pregnancy; kids; skin care; relationships: current events. Maybe I wasn’t being dramatic. I had the most amazing clientele. We got each other through all the tough times, and in the time it took to create a knock-out cut and color, we had solved the world’s problems.

I have created my businesses, had babies, and worked full time, simultaneously. It has been quite the dance. I promise that I will share all that I know, all that I have been through, and all that I stumble upon along the way. I am not afraid to tell you that I have some lofty goals – ones that make people look at me with a half smile as if to say “Woman, you’re crazy.” And I will gladly offer up my moments of fear and failure. There have been plenty along the way, and no doubt plenty more to come. That’s all part of having mind-blowing dreams. You have to stack the wins and fails one on top of the other to reach the top.

One of my biggest take-aways from my career as a hairstylist, is that too many people keep everything tucked inside. Whether it be their biggest dreams or biggest fears. Holding that in–that’s the kind of stuff that eats you up. No more of that. Right here. This is where we are going to let it all hang out. I want to be your person. I will hold all your dreams and all your fears for you.

Even more than that, I am going to help you do something with them. No longer will they sit in silence, they are going to have a voice.

Let’s get to work.
